As part of our 150th anniversary celebrations, we’re hosting a children’s art exhibition and competition and I hope you’ll be able to help me make this a successful event.
All Junior Members are invited to submit up to two pieces of artwork, which will be framed and displayed in the club. Our exhibition will be open to visitors, we’ll have a swanky gala preview night for everyone who takes part and there’s prizes for our top 3 entrants!
Not surprisingly, our theme is all things aquatic. Inspiration could be drawn from own historic swimming pond or another pool, a favourite beach or seaside trip, the River Clyde or Loch Lomond. Anything from Finding Nemo to puddles in the Glasgow Summer rain is welcome. As long as the work involves water, we'd love to see it!
If you’d like to take part, artwork should be A3 or A4 size, either portrait or landscape orientation and can be anything from a painting, drawing, pastels, mosaic, collage or mixed media work.
Artwork can be handed in to the poolside office up until the 23rd July. We'll sort out the framing and hanging. Please ensure contact details are on the back of each submission.
I hope you’ll find this a great opportunity for your kids to be creative and exhibit their masterpieces in the club. If you have any questions or need more information, I'll be holding two drop in sessions in our Members Lounge from 5-8pm on Thursday 17th June and 10am-12pm on Sunday 20th June.
All the best
