As we look forward to welcoming visitors this weekend, it’s worth remembering the condition the club was in when we first took part in Glasgow’s Doors Open Days Festival 12 years ago. Since then, around £800,000 has been invested in repairs, restoration and renovation. From improving dilapidated spaces barely fit for purpose to desperately needed work on failing plant and machinery and introducing new facilities and equipment, virtually every single area of the club has been tackled. The works continue as part of the overall strategy you can view in the club foyer. Here’s a look at some of the major improvements.
